Calm down, the long-awaited Prizm GSi app isn’t ready for launch. Nor will it ever be. The Prizm is definitely an analogue car in a digital world. But that doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun with the digital side, right?

Tirerack.com is a well-known and long running site for finding all things tires, wheels and suspension (sadly, I’m not getting compensated for saying that) – and one of the coolest things on that site is an application to visualize various wheels on your representative car.

Representative, because the photos provided are general stock shots of popular vehicles. The Prizm not being one of them.

So if you’re interested in test-fitting some aftermarket wheels, you’re stuck with your own MS Paint or Photoshop skills. Until the smartphone app Wheels ON at least. Recently discovered here at PrizmGSi.com headquarters, this app allows you to upload a pic of your own car and then scroll through a bunch of different wheel designs, overlaying them on your photo (also not being compensated to say any of this). The wheels are real, and there’s information on the manufacturer and model name, but no way to order. Which is probably fine because then I’d be risking the possibility of these wheels on the GSi if the phone got into the wrong hands.
