(So I don’t have to.)
Featured here a while back, this is the cream of the crop when it comes to the Prizm GSi. Sure, it’s not in perfect condition, but someone with a little wherewithal and gumption could get this baby spiffed up in a jiffy.
You may ask “but why? What’s the big deal?” Simple, it’s a ’91 model, which means it’s 1 of 237 built. Say it with me…
All it needs is a paint job, some new interior bits and perhaps some investigation into why it has a Toyota-branded valve cover on the engine, rather than the factory-issued blank.
It would honestly be a bit of work, but in the end, you’d have a reliable and fairly comfortable little sedan that can hold a surprisingly large armchair in the trunk – which will certainly come in handy for sitting comfortably at your favorite cars and coffee or local car show.
Or, just drive it as is – take it from the person who owns one, they’re a ton of fun.
But whatever you do, don’t harvest the engine and junk the rest. There’s still a few beater 4-doors out there you can do that with.
What do I have to do to get you in this hatchback today? Found on Craigslist in Salt Lake City for $1200.
Someone make this happen…
